Fashion photography is a genre of photography devoted to displaying clothing and other fashion items. Fashion photography is most often conducted for advertisements in fashion magazines such as Vogue, Vanity Fair, Elle, and others.
In India, people earlier were afraid of choosing photography as a career, but now, with all the development of fashion and e-commerce industries, there are hundreds of people who are willing to opt for photography work. Rathani is an Indian fashion photographer known for his annual calendar which has become a highly notable showbiz event in India since its first publication in leading magazines like Cosmopolitian, Flimfare, Hi Blitz, Ok India, Elle, Verve, Femina, The Man and Better Homes and Gardens. He has been ranked first in top the 10 fashion photographers list. His work has been used for film advertising and publicity campaings. Moreover, Ratani recently juged the India’s Top Model show alongside Malaika Arora, Milind Soman and Anusha Dandekar aired on MTV India. Rathani also worked for many advertisements, with top stars of Bollywood.
Gowarikar is a well-known photographer who was dropped out of his first year of college and opted photography as his career. Since then there was no looking back for him. With the guidance of big celebrities and directors like Ashutosh Gowarikar, Aamir Khan, and Salman Khan, he established himself as a celebrity photographer. Gowarikar has also worked with many brands such as Reebok, Nestle, Nokia, and Panasonic and more.
Burman is well known in the field of fashion photography. He was great fond of photography since childhood. He has worked as an assistance freelancer with famous Steven Klein and Mark Seliger in New York. Rid Burman worked for many famous brands, most famous celebrities of Indian cinema and fashion magazines of India.
Natarajan completed his studies at Ryerson University in Toronto (Canada) in 1985. He had a strong passion towards photography and he completed his one year diploma in TV production at Maclean Hinter TV as well. Natarajan’s rich knowledge about photography and his photographs always encourage the new age photographers. He has worked as an assistant director in two Indian films with famous directors of Indis. Natarajan worked as production coordinator in an English film as well. He has also worked for many fashion magazines.
Rohan Shrestha is an Indian born Nepalese photographer. His father is also one of the established photographers, Rakesh Shrestha. Rohan’s journey began with working under his father in 2004. Along with it, Rohan has worked with various photographers, including Indrani-Pal Chaudhary in New York City. His first editorial was in May 2009 with L’Officiel India. Rohan has become a permament fixture in the photography world today. The photographs clicked by Rohan have been selected by different magazines for the cover page, including magazine Noblesse India. Also, he has great experience working with many celebrities like Kareena Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Deepika Padukone, etc.
